I have to say, my hat goes off to everyone who go this one right. When ACG sent this, I thought for sure this would be one of the hardest contests we’ve had so far. There are tons of marinas in the world, and I didn’t really see much which set this apart from any of the others. Nonetheless, 15 of you got the right answer: the marina in Varazze, Italy.

This one seemed to be pretty easy. The colors sort of gave it away as a hot spring, and there are only so many springs of this size and color in the world. Grand Prismatic Spring is the largest hot spring in the US and the third largest hot spring in the world.

Also in the image is the Excelsior geyser, which was also accepted as an answer.

Hear ye, hear ye. The answer to contest #52 is declared to be the King Cross station in London. Also in the image is the St. Pancras station, which was also accepted as an answer. St. Pancras is the train terminal which can take you to France.

Welcome to the first contest of the ACG era! Where has this rode taken us? It appears to the Canadian Rockies. In particular beautiful Banff National Park and Lake Louise. ACG says it is one of his favorite spots and a place he has visited many times.

The building in the image is the Fairmont Lodge, one of the great lodges in the Canadian Rockies.

As a side note, if you submit an answer, try to also put an estimate of how long it took to answer it. I know some you can get almost instantly, and some take hours.

An so ends the final installment of Karel-fest. For his finale, he picked something close to home, just over the border of the Netherlands in Germany, the Hamback Open Pit Mine. The mine is known as the home of one of the largest movable machines in the world. It is one of those things you’ve probably seen on the Discovery Channel. When you see it near car or a person, it is sort of stunning to see just how large it is. The mound next to the mine is also one of the largest man made hills in the world.

With the end on contest 50, the leaderboard will reset and everyone will go back to zero. If you’ve been lurking and waiting to join in, contest 51 will be a chance to start.

ACG will be picking locations for contests number 51-60, as he previously won set #21-30. Other who went 10/10 on this set, will have to wait your turn.
