Kevin Lew wasted no time in answering Contest #3. It was Andros Island in the Bahamas. The massive chunk of turquoise visible from almost any distance was a dead give away. The color of the sea and the sand are all due to massive deposits of calcium carbonate which can precipitate out of the warm Caribbean water. Note to self….don’t post images taken from that high up
