  1. Barrage de la Rance, The first tidal power station in the world, in Brittany, France.

  2. Rance barrier near Saint-Malo, France –> usine marémotrice de la Rance. It’s the first prototype of a power plant where electricity is directly generated from tidal moves, in an area where tidal power is particularly strong.

  3. Rance Tidal Power Station, in Brittany, France, near Saint-Malo.

This one was pretty challenging! (Good one!)

Some things that (seemed) to be clues were the indications of north-flowing water (safety lines across the water, and what looked like some sort of rapids above the structure).
A modern infrastructure (multi-lane highway, and the structure itself).
With so many boats, it seemed that it should be close to the ocean.
What appeared to be a nice climate.

Still it took me awhile to get it.

If the picture had been taken when the tide was coming IN, I probably wouldn’t have found it.

  4. Rance Tidal Power Station in Brittany, France at 48° 37? 5? N, 2° 1? 24? W

  5. The Rance Tidal Power Station on the Rance River in Brittany. It is the world’s first tidal power station.
