Built between 1972 and 1985, the Corviale ‘ground scraper’ building was designed by architect Mario Fiorentino as a ‘relieve project’ for the overcrowded inner city of Rome.
With a length of 1 kilometer, it is one of the largest buildings in Europe.
The project received an International Urban Design Award in 2012.
