The La Gomera airport is perched on the steep volcanic cliffs of La Gomera Island in the Canary Islands of Spain. It was constructed in the 1990s when it became obvious that something was needed to evacuate patients with snake bites! Prior to the construction of this airport, there had been several delays and there was no public airport on the island. There are currently two flights a day to the Tenerife South airport.
Looks like a fun airport to land at!
