Contest #271 answer: El Caminito del Rey, Spain

El Caminito del Rey is Spanish for “The King’s pathway”, but frankly I don’t think there is one king on this earth who dares to walk this path nowadays.

The last (and first) king who walked this path was King Alfonso XIII in 1921.
In the last decades the pathway has detoriated too a state that makes it hardly walkable, but if you wait a few years there is a fair chance that it will be restored to its old glory at the cost of 9 million euros.
