Just west of Tripoli (Libya) International Airport runway 9R/27L. It was an Airbus 330 belonging to Afriqiyah airlines which had taken off from Johannesburg, and it crashed the day this image was taken, May 12, 2010, killing all 105 passengers aboard.

the answer and found every Wikipedia air crash with one survivor before doubling back.
