Contest #219 answer: Galmisdale, Isle of Eigg, Scotland, UK
The Isle of Eigg is one of the Scottish Inner Hebrides isles.
It is 31 km2 with a population of appr. 60.
The jetty in Galmisdale is the entry point of Eigg, which is now extended to a roll-on roll-off dock.
Eigg is the first of the ‘Island going green‘ initiative who achieved the goal of being fossil fuel independent, thanks to a complete wind, water and sun-powered electricity grid.

Contest #218 answer: Y, France
Last week we had the longest place name in Europe, this week (one of the) shortest: Y in the Somme department in France. It is a small rural town with a population of appr. 85.
Thanks to its short name it is a twinned city with Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch.
The inhabitants call themselves Ypsiloniens/Ypsiloniennes.

Contest #217 answer: Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, Wales, UK
Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch is the official name for this place, which is Welsh and means something like “St Mary’s church in the hollow of the white hazel near the fierce whirlpool and the church of St Tysilio by the red cave”.
It is the longest place name in Europe, but there is a short version, which is Llanfair PG or Llanfairpwll. The original name was Llanfair Pwllgwyngyll, which I can’t pronounce either.
Fun fact: Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch was used as a password in the movie Barbarella.
