The Where on Google Earth game started back on February 12th, 2008 with the location being Ground Zero in New York. Thank you to all the players who have enjoyed the games over the past 14 years!
For contest #800, we visited the island of Inishbee off the west coast of Ireland. The straight walls should have helped in finding the island. Inishbee itself looks to be a series of smaller islands linked by sandbars or drumlins of various widths. Dorinish, just to the south of Inishbee, was owned by John Lennon and Yoko Ono for a period up to Lennon’s death.
