Contest #338 answer: Église Saint-Étienne-le-Vieux, Caen, France

Originally the Église Saint-Étienne-le-Vieux dates from the 10th century and is an official French protected monument. It lies very close to the well known l’Abbaye-aux-Hommes.

In 1944 it was destroyed by bombing, either by the allies or the Germans, depending on the source you are reading. But anyhow it was never rebuilt.
