Contest #196 answer: Jeffrey Mine, Asbestos, Quebec, Canada

Until recently, the Jeffrey Mine in Canada was the largest asbestos mine in the world. It is located in the Canadian town of Asbestos, which is of course named after the mineral that is found here. (Thanks, Paul)

There was some stir in the International Community this week as Canada, together with the Ukraine, managed to block asbestos from the U.N. Hazardous List although asbestos is banned in Canada from inland use.
