  1. Location is Torkham, on the Khyber Pass, at the border between Afghanistan & Pakistan. Lat. 34.13 Lon. 71.1

  2. Torkham, Parkistan by Afghan border 34deg07-N 71deg06-E

  3. I haven’t heard about this place before so I quote from a Panoramio picture placed there:
You are now standing at TORKHAM, the last Pakistani check post on the Pak-Afhgan international border – this has been the most popular ancient route to the Indian subcontinent to the West.

  4. The Khyber Pass on the Pakistan / Afghanistan Border.
Torkham, Pakistan is the town to the bottom right of the picture.

  5. The town of Torkham on the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan, 5km west of the summit of the Khyber Pass.

    34° 8? 5.83? N, 71° 5? 41.74? E.

  6. Korengal Valley, Afghanistan

  7. Well, I’ve not got a clue – and even less time to search for this one… I must say, though, that it appears like this place would rank pretty high on some extremely inhospitable environment list.
