Another challenging contest submitted by Milosh, the answer was the Sua salt pan, specifically the Botswana Soda Ash and Salt processing area (BOTASH). This area is part of the greater Makgadikgadi salt flat. The BOTASH plant visible in the Image was opened in June of 1991 and is owned by the Botswana Government, AECI, Anglo American Corporation, and De Beers, along with some financial Investors.
Soda Ash is also known as Sodium Carbonate and is most commonly used in the Manufacturing of Glass.
