The Arecibo Observatory is the largest single aperture radio telescope in the world. The dish is 305 m (1001 ft) in diameter and the antenna is located 150 m (500 ft) above the dish.

Contest #131 answer: Eyjafjallajökull Glacier, Iceland

It seemed that this was the last we should see of the Eyjafjallajökull glacier, as a volcano erupted underneath, or at least that was what the geologists thought. People were evacuated from the area because the risk of flooding as the authorities were afraid the glacier might melt. However it seemed actually that the volcano activity was a bit further away, so there was no immediate risk.

Avebury is one of the largest Neolithic sites in Europe. It is co-listed with Stonehenge as a UNESCO World Heritage site and dates from about 3000 BC.
