This facility serves as a test bed, calibration, and benchmarking site for new technology in offshore wind turbines. There are 9 slots for testing, usually 4-5 in use at a time. At any given time, the largest available wind turbine is being tested here, most recently a 222m rotor diameter monster producing 14MW.
