Contest #335 answer: John C. Stennis Space Center, Hancock County, MS, USA

The John. C. Stennis Space Centre is not well known, although it is the major rocket test facility of NASA.

It was original built in 1961 for testing the Saturn rockets for the Apollo program.

In the centre of the picture is the B-2 test stand, where the Saturn rocket was tested and is currently being rebuilt for testing the SLS engines, which will also be used for (manned) Mars missions in the future.

Contest #334 answer: Mount Kelud, east Java, Indonesia

On februari 13, Mount Kelud in Indonesia erupted after being silent for the last seven years.
It prompted the evacuation of some 76,000 people and fout people were killes as their houses collapsed under the weight of the ashes.

The eruption forced the closure of several airports in the region but they were reopened a week later.

Contest #333 answer: Packard automotive plant, Detroit, Mi, U.S.A.

Founded in 1899, the Packard Motor Car Company produced its vehicles in its Detroit plant from 1903 until 1958 but kept the plant for storage until the 1990’s

In 1954 Packard merged with the Studebaker company and in 1959 the Packard label was withdrawn from the market.

At the end of 2013 the premises were acquired by a buyer who stated that he will redevelop the area.
