The Upper Svanetia region in Georgia is an UNESCO World Heritage site. The unofficial capital of this region is Mestia, famous for its ‘Tower Houses’.
The region is inhabited by the Svans, who have their own language and a very distinctive art.
I wanted to put up a difficult contest for a change, but I hope I did not make it too hard.

This is the tomb of the First Qin Emperor of China, in the Linton District in China.
Originally it was larger than the Great Pyramid in Egypt.
A few miles east of this location the Terracotta Army was discovered in 1974, a large collection of life size soldiers and horses.

Contest #154 aswer: Mount Sinabung, Indonesia
Mount Sinabung is a volcano on the Indonesian Island of Sumatra. Its lasts known eruption before the current one dates from 1600. On August 29, it came to live again, causing the evacuation of 30,000 residents.
On September 3 there was another eruption, just after some of the evacuees returned to their homes and subsequently on September 7 another -more severe- one.
Vulcanologists are warning for more heavy eruptions in the next weeks and Mount Sinabung still has a ‘code red‘ alert on the Indonesian volcano watch page.
