Contest #279 answer: AnsaldoBreda factory, Pistoia, Italy

AnsaldoBreda is a manufacturer of trains and urban rail carriages. They are the manufacturers of the not quite successful Danish IC4 trains and the Dutch/Belgian V250 (‘Fyra’) high speed trains, which were put out of service last week after they had only run for 1,5 month and parts were falling off.

V250

Believe it or not, these trains were designed by Pininfarina of Italy, famous for their Ferrari designs…

With a total of 12 telescopes, the Siding Spring Observatory is the main optical telescope site in Australia and was originally set up in 1924.

Last week a raging bushfire destroyed some of the support buildings on site, but the telescopes were not damaged, as it seems.
