The Columbia Scientific Ballon Facility is NASA’s launch facility for high altitude balloons in the USA.
On September 28 the BBRISON balloon mission was launched here to study the comet ISON.

Ilha da Queimada Grande is a 110 acre island in the Atlantic Ocean, near the Brazilian coast of São Paulo,Brazil.
It is uninhabited, which is no wonder considering there is a Golden Lancehead viper on every square meter on this island, hence its nickname: snake island.

The Swallow’s Nest was built in 1911-1912 on top of the 40-metre (130 ft) high Aurora Cliff.
It is quite small, its footprint is only 10 x 20 meters.
Currently it houses a restaurant.
(In retrospect the hint could be a bit better, this week… 🙁 )

This 100 yr old castle has a footprint of only 200m2
Château de Guédelon is not a restauration project, but a new castle which is built from scratch. It is built after 13th century construction plans using tools and construction techniques from that period.
Construction was started in 1997 and is estimated to take 25 years to complete.
