Contest #267 answer: Aokigahara forest, Minamitsuru District, Japan

This place ranks high on the ‘creepy’ scale. It is nicknamed the ‘suicide woods’ as it is the most popular place to commit suicide in Japan and ranks #2 (after the Golden Gate bridge) on the world list.

At least 100 suicides occur here every year.

It was hard, this week. No one found it before the hint was out.
