You have probably never heard of Matmata in Algeria and there is a good reason for that: I did put up the wrong contest… 🙁

I meant to give you this one:

Which is Matmata in Tunisia, the location of Lars Homestead in Star Wars, which is actually the Hotel Sidri Driss, but for some mysterious reason I came up with the wrong location. My apologies.

Lesson learned: Always double-check, even if you are in a hurry.

So we’ll skip this week but not without three very honorable mentions for steve willis, mccrumplair en Ben-Greg who managed to find it after the hint. Special thanks to steve willis for pointing me to my error.

So, with the knowledge of the current theme the next contest should be not too hard, providing I will give you the correct image….

In the books of Tolkien, the village of Hobbiton lies in Westfarthing, the western part of the Shire, the Hobbit region of Middle-Earth.

In real life, when filming the Lord of the Rings trilogy, director Peter Jackson choose the region 10 km SW of Matamata in New Zealand (in the Waikato region) as the location for Hobbiton, were Bilbo Baggins lived in his his ‘Bag End’ house.
