Contest #103 Answer:Mont Saint-Michel, France

Located just off the northwest coast of Normandie France, is the historical tidal island of Mont Saint-Michel.  This ancient monastery or abbey is named after the archangel Michel and the original church was founded around 706 AD.   The First Monastery buildings are thought to have been constructed in the 11th century.  The Island is now a UNESCO World Heritage site.  The causeway is now a big car park, which supports the 3 millions annual visitors.
