Contest #78 Answer: Ruins of Ur, Iraq

The image for Contest #78, submitted by Milosh, takes us way back into ancient Mesopotamia times.  The large structure visible is the Great Ziggurat of Ur.  Built over 4000 years ago as part of a temple complex, it was thought to be the dwelling of the moon god Nanna.  In relatively recent times, the archaeologist Sir Charles Leonard Woolley, excavated the “Royal Tombs” among other ancient artifacts.  I had loads of trouble finding this myself, yet Karel continues the record count of Correct Answers.
